Her life started off really hard. From the moment she was born, she was shunned, by her mother, her father, and even by her own litter mates. Being one of six pups she wasn't the runt, however, she was part of the Nightshade pack. The thing you must know about the Nightshade pack is they prefer to live underground. The Nightshade pack is run by a notorious wolf named Park, he was born with a rare eye condition called Iris Hypoplasia. This means that the colored part of his eye never developed, which means that his eyes are hypersensitive to light. He was picked on and punished from a young age because he couldn't act like the rest of the pups, they took a puppy who could have been great and turned him into an outcast who couldn't trust anyone. His mother however held the greatest resentment towards him.
His mother was Gionna she was the Alpha female having earned the title in the Great War when she a rouge female found a sentry that had been caught and made an example of by the enemy General. When Gionna found him she wasn't even sure he was a wolf, let alone alive. She heard the distant sounds of the battle that she was trying to run from, and she could smell a faint trail of the wolves that left him like this. Gionna knew that if he was found by anyone he would surely die an even more painful death. As she contemplated what to do, her ears picked up the sounds of approaching wolves, and in a split second, she decided that she would save him. Anything she could offer would be better than his fate.
