Coming from a large and loving pack miles and miles away, Alari took it all for granted. She slipped away from her loved ones and what she used to call home as an adolescent. Looking back, her memories fill her with regret for ever leaving, but she was so young and full of curiosity...she wanted to know what was outside from the world within her pack.
Paddling and pacing through horizons, eating off bird scraps and hoping that there will be a lake up somewhere ahead, this was how Alari survived all on her own up until she became an adult. On the day she became a 1 year old wolf she crossed paths with a scent of something familiar, another wolf!
Her days of hopelessness dread were over, or so it seemed. As she desperately searched for the scent and the more closer she got to the scent she would soon realize...it was a trap!
The larger wolf with all his force aggressively pinned down Alari, nearly choking her as she loudly yelped for help. He snarls and clenches his jaw, not seeming to want to actually hurt her but in a rude attempt to intimidate her into submission. In a quick second flight or fight response she fights back. There was no way she was going to give up now.
Using all of her energy she pushes the wolf to the hard ground and viciously makes a convincing effort to appear like a savage beast. Snarling and fuming she screams at him to run now or never see the time of day ever again. Taken aback and frightened, the male mutters how he never meant to make her feel wronged, he just wanted to know who she was and her intentions. Well, that's one way to start an introduction for sure.
Alari soon after put her guard once she realized that he posed no real threat. She began to open up to him immediately seeing as he was just like her, a loner.
With some kind words exchanged here or there, the two set off in search of new beginnings. Over the next couple of days they meet new wolves and travel to reach new experiences. Soon those days become weeks, and hopefully years as the two wolves start a family of their own surrounded by strangers who soon morph into familiar faces. This is how the Crystal Canopy, Alari's new pack, was formed and the rest is history.
