Bjorn

ABOUT

Bjorn is the estranged herbalist welcomed into the pack by Yukio. He does not take a particularly spiritual approach to his role and is more so a crafty, knowledgeable medicine-man with a deceptively intimidating look. He is exceptionally large, but with a lanky physique that he conceals with a heavy bear pelt, and unreadable, piercing eyes. Stranger wolves easily mistake him for a bear slayer, which he uses to his advantage.

PERSONALITY

Bjorn can often be hard to read as he has an uncertain, atypical body language for a wolf. He rarely gets into fights and uses his wits to avoid confrontation either through intimidation, stealth or deception. He doesn't harbor a strong relationship with the pack and is content in keeping to himself and his work. He has a habit of lying in a pile of bones and consequently startling an unsuspecting wolf.

HISTORY

To his packmates, Bjorn keeps no secret that he was raised by a bear, and is always clad in her remains. It is unknown what befell her nor how he became separated from his original pack, although he received the name "Bjorn" upon his birth as the pack's shaman determined he would grow to become a great warrior. However, even as a young pup his strength never kept up with his size. He speaks of his mother bear fondly, and what little memory he has of his birth pack— bitter resentment.

RELATIONSHIPS

Mate [since 29-01-2024]
Thistle | An unlikely bond formed between the two wolves and their strikingly contrasting personalities, perhaps from the time spent together as the earliest pack members. Thistle may be the only wolf (followed by Yukio) that harbors no suspicion nor bias toward him as she feels fully confident in understanding the wolf, and in turn Bjorn gives all of himself to her— both the flaws and virtues.

Friend(s)
Yukio | It is no coincidence that the two first met while Yukio was suffering with an upset stomach. Both were pleased to avoid a fight as Bjorn offered a simple herb for aid. As such he was warmly welcomed into the growing pack, despite the initial challenges. Yukio's reckless curiosity on her ventures is never without trouble, but helping her out became a comfortable routine for them both and the basis for their friendship.

Disliked
Cinder | While Cinder grew to respect the wolf for the endless work he has done for the pack, they will perhaps never fully see eye to eye, for Cinder's diligence and code of honour is everything Bjorn detests in another wolf. Yukio is their only point of bonding.

Enemy
Blood on the Snow | Bjorn never held back on playing off of what he sees as naivety in Blood's idealistic need for trust in tandem with being secretive and dismissive of her own past. Some unclear in-between of petty spite and perhaps almost trying to teach the younger wolf a lesson. Blood is fearful for Thistle, believing Bjorn only aims to hurt them both and get in the way of their sororal friendship, and she is evidently jealous of their pair-bond.
