Hanui

One of Dusksoul's pups. Like his sister he's not great at running. Unlike her he's not interested in plants. Though he'd rather be the one taking down prey in the future he's shown to be good at tracking.

Before he was 2, he got into an argument with Pikko during a hunt. Though the older wolf tried to calm him down, Hanui ended up attacking Pikko and scarring his eye.

At 3 and a half, Hanui raked his claws across the eye of another packmate after a bad hunt. This time the attacked was the yearling Sironya. This time he knew he made a mistake, her mother may have been a relatively caring wolf..but Tilleka was large and didn't take to her precious daughter being injured by in-fighting.

Hanui had stuck by his mother's side every moment from the time Dusksoul found it more difficult to even stand for water. He only ever left to bring her mossballs soaked in the nearby creek or something he hoped she would eat.
And so, even though she'd lived such a long life, he took it hard when he watched Dusk's ribcage falter and fall for the last time. Goldshine did her best to console him, but for a week it was hopeless. He'd hardly eat and didn't even snap at the pups when they got too rowdy. Not even Sironya, who famously got on his nerves with no effort, couldn't get a reaction from him.
It was time alone that broke his stupor, but he tried to put himself fully back into providing for his pack when it happened. Unfortunately he was still shaken and lost track of the prey.
