Buddy

Buddy was born as the only pup of a wolf mother and a German Shepherd father. He became separated from his mother following his weaning after wandering off and falling down a steep mountain gorge she could not reach. Miraculously surviving the fall with only a few bruises and a twisted paw, Buddy called up the gorge for his mother. She never came to his rescue.

His cries were heard, however, by the hunting party of the Dwelling Pack. Whispering Raven had been drawn to the gorge by a maternalistic sixth sense; with assistance from Funshine and several ravens she managed to pull the young pup to safety. They returned with him to the pack where he was placed alongside Nightfall Raven in the care of Sheltered Birch. He introduced himself to the pack as Buddy - which had been his fathers name - although the rest of the pack expected the worst for the pup as his chances of surviving were extremely slim.

Buddy proved them all wrong. He quickly recovered his strength and grew up to be an adventurous misfit with a sarcastic streak. He showed himself equally adaptable at different roles; as comfortable as a hunter as he was a scout or learning herbalist. The traumatic circumstances of his early life behind him, Buddy shows real potential as a pack leader in his own right.

Puppy Training
During the hunting lesson, Buddy was reminded to work on his attention span. While his physical condition was perfect, Buddy needed to fight the urge to use every opportunity to play.

Adolescent
Buddy brings something in their mouth, placing it by your side. When you look at them with a puzzled expression, they say it's a gift for you, because they are so caring and thoughtful.
