She left her original pack with the intent of creating her own, but after meeting the two wolves, she decided to stay with them as they seemed very inexperienced, as she believes her duty in life is to help those in need. (She also finds Mara to be quite handsome and would like to court him, but he seems oblivious to her attempts.)
