Sunrise Hounds
Red Skies wandered from her home in the swamp across the desert into the Plains when she met the Sunset. He was pouncing face first into the bushes trying to catch a grouse, which flushed right into her face. Red Skies despite trying to catch the bird all she was left with was feathers sticking out of her fur. Sunset and Red Skies had a good laugh, and he invited Red to come live with his pack.
Red Skies was happy, she fell in with friends and honed her hunting skills. Red Skies had fun hunting, mostly grouse and pheasants at first, then bigger game like the muskrats that lived in the riparian woodlands. Red Skies spent time with Sunset and in winter gave birth to four beautiful puppies. While she was happy raising her family she grew restless. Her hunts took her farther from the woodland home the Sunrise Hounds called home into the prairie. Red Skies remembered how much fun she had wandering. When she returned she told Sunset she had decided to travel again. Sunset, while sad, understood, he gifted her a Grouse feather decor, to remind Red Skies of their first meeting.

She returned home to Oaken Arcana only to find the Sacred Grove in disarray. The strange beasts had returned, and the pack's wisest leader, Quirk, had fallen in battle. The sacred roc flew home from his side with news of defeat, and declared a she-wolf from the line of Thain the succesor, but this vixen vanished as soon as the council could summon her!

Some muttered the coward must have refused the throne and fled, but her mother Mthethwa insisted faithfully that her wayward daughter was lost seeking the origin of this cryptid scourge.

On the same moon, Mighty Worldeater whelped a serpent-pup with the strength of a hurricane. The eagle guardian flew straight to her den and announced this child was destined to lead instead. Mother Mthethwa stepped forward as Regent while the young warrior prepared.

Red Skies took in all that had changed in her homeland with a shake of the head. This was too much chaos for her! At summer's end, it's time to roam again...

Guiding Hope

Red Skies once again found herself in a new place, the crunchiness of the deciduous leaves was a foreign feeling. She heard a crack of branches, signaling that there was another creature nearby. Red Skies peeked out from behind a thicket of brush to see a dark-coated wolf with many scars on her face and a missing left eye.

This wolf was Murphy, the newly appointed leader of the Guiding Hope pack. Her predecessor, Creidne of the pack formerly known as Lassair Pack had just passed away in the early hours of the morning. Thus, Murphy was very new at being alpha, but she knew that Creidne had guided her before she made the final journey to the stars.

Before Red Skies cover was blown, a boar tore out from behind a bush and headed straight for Red Skies! The wolf was able to sidestep, but not before receiving a scratch to her hind leg. All the commotion led Murphy right to Red Skies' hiding spot and the young leader quickly began to check her out.

Despite Murphy's rugged exterior, the wolf was rather friendly and eagerly accepted Red Skies into her pack. Red Skies made many new friends, including Hawkeye, Murphy's second-in-command.

On a brisk September evening, she gave birth to three healthy puppies. As the seasons changed, she felt herself missing the nomadic lifestyle that she once had. She decided to bid goodbye to her new friends at Guiding Hope Pack, thanking Murphy for her generosity and promising that she would visit when the time was right.
