Reed Wave resented her mother Cody since birth. Cody had kept the identity of Reed Wave's father a secret to the pack and most importantly a secret to her. however she still loved her as she was indeed a good mother to her. whenever Cody looked at Reed Wave all there was in her eyes was regret and guilt.
Reed Wave came to the realization that she was a horrible reminder to her mother of something that should've never happened. she often catches Golden Swirl staring at her and feels uncomfortable around the older wolf.

Reed Wave was cautious of Arson when he joined Alaska's pack, he was just a pup though— probably around five months. Reed Wave spent a bit of time with Arson, coming to the conclusion that she'd have to get used to him someday as he'd be apart of their pack now.
Arson grew on Reed Wave and when he came of age she began noticing things she hadn't before, like how charming and alluring he was. Arson was glued to Reed Wave's side and then out of the blue he admitted his feelings to her.
Reed Wave decided instead of rejecting him to see if she could truly love him so she accepted and they became mates. the more time she spent with him the more she began to love him and she was shocked when Jay Mask revealed she was expecting his pups.
Jay Mask announced it to the whole pack, including Arson and Reed Wave couldn't help but be annoyed as she didn't want to announce it just yet. Arson was overjoyed so Reed Wave pretended to be happy to. Cody was delighted, having wanted to be a grandmother for forever.
Reed Wave was furious about this, Cody would play NO part in her pups lives since she wanted to hide the identity of her father to her. (little does she know that Cody keeping this from her is a very good thing)

Reed Wave had a miscarriage and she and Arson grieved together, Cody wanting so badly to comfort her daughter.

Reed Wave grieved for days when she found out her father, Golden Swirl had died. but Arson was there for her and it helped just a bit.

Reed Wave was stunned when she found out her mother, Cody had passed away in her sleep and she felt awful for how she treated her mother in the past and that she never apologized. Reed Wave mourned her mother, becoming a shell of her former self.
