He's a good hearted male, he was the first pup accepted by Oak Wisdom and he's thankful for them for that.  It's not that his previous pack was bad, he just wandered too far and couldn't find his way back home.  Leader of the Oak Wisdom tried to help him with this but the pack moved in this time from their territory and it was basically too late.  He's friends with the wolfs from the pack cause he was with them from the beginning basically.  He isn't related to any of them, true.. but he would protect them if he would must. 

Little did he know that others alongside their leader know of his potential that he showed many times on similar occasions..
