Braern (burr-ae-urn)

Background

When his mother, Vision, gave birth to Braern amongst a litter of 4, she was so very happy to have new additions to her family. Sure he looked a bit different, but he seemed healthy and was suckling well without any trouble, but hours later, the truth made itself known and she could tell something wasn't right with her pup. Braern was beginning to take shallow, labored breaths and was now struggling immensely. He whined and whimpered, scared and begging for help. Vision was heartbroken having to watch her pup go through this, but there was nothing she could do to help- she sat there by his side that night until he finally drew his last breath, sending the pack members into a group howl with grief. Moments later, Braern strolls up beside his mother and plops down, looking around almost as if he were confused. She looked down at him and couldn't believe her eyes. "Braern..? Oh, thank the gods!!" She cried, tumbling over the pup and smothering him with kisses and hugs. Due to his newfound immortality gifted by the gods, he was able to learn Wolfspeak quickly and now tells his story to the pups for entertainment. He can breathe completely fine with no struggle and can run and play just as anyone else can. He is a proud and beloved member of the Effortless Charm Pack.

A small, frail-looking pup looks at you with a smile and pants with his tongue out. "Hi there, would you like to hear a story?" He asks excitedly, wagging his tiny tail. Did that puppy just...talk to you?
