IGAU

the second in command

PUPPYHOOD

Growing up, Igau had a pretty average puppyhood. He tussled with the other pups quite often, and usually ended up winning because of his strong build. He decided to become a finisher when he was young and because of this, he trained very hard to strengthen himself. He showed a lot of interest in a lot of other things, like animals, too. He became close friends with Wren, the Alpha, when he joined the pack. A lot of wolves believe this is the reason as to why he was chosen to be the Beta, but in reality, Wren had no reason not to choose him.

PERSONALITY

Igau is a very keen and cheerful wolf, but he has also proven himself to be responsible, smart and quick-witted. He fulfills his duty first and always has time to rest and play after. He's kind to everyone he meets but he doesn't forgive easily. He and Wren get along well because of their similiar views. They both tend to look for the best in wolves and believe anyone can change if they want to. Igau has one weakness: he is afraid of bugs and insects. Though this doesn't usually affect his daily life, it is impossible to be a wolf without running into a few bugs, at least. His favorite season is Winter, because his coat is thick enough to protect him from the harsh weather and bugs don't come out as frequently. He really loves swimming, especially in still-water and when it comes to the Cold Season, he likes playing on the thick ice.

ROLE AS BETA

Igau is a very fair beta, never putting any wolves under too much pressure. He only asks what he knows is possible and always allows the pack to rest and regain energy. His main duty as beta is to assign patrols: who goes hunting/scouting and where? When should the herbalist leave to forage? What herbs should she look for? He and Wren are the two wolves keeping the pack together and they are aware of that, however, they never exploit their powers. Being Beta is a lot of responsibility for a wolf to handle, but Igau seems to be doing great so far.

INTRODUCTION

You trot trough this part of the mountains carefully, not wanting to be seen by any predators. There is a feeling that you can't seem to shake off. A feeling of being watched. You spin around as fast as you can as you hear breathing behind you. You come face to face with a large, broad-shouldered wolf that you can only hope is friendly. You let out a sigh of relief as you notice that the wolf doesn't seem hostile at all, fur laying flat. He looks at you with a curious expression for a few seconds, then speaks. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" He barks politely, and you notice an apologetic look in his eyes. "My name is Igau, and I'm the Beta of the pack that lives around here, Veritas! I couldn't help but wonder what you were doing here, so I followed you." You explain how you got here and the wolf nods understandingly. "Would you like me to guide you to the camp? You seem like you could use a good rest." You tell Igau that you appreciate the offer but must move on. "Oh, that's alright. Goodbye, I hope to see you again!" He barks. As you begin to leave Igau notices a beetle on the ground and jumps up in surprise. Then, with a bewildered expression, he swipes it away. You can't help but chuckle. How could such a large, powerful wolf be afraid of insects?
