Hawaiian goddess of snow, Poli'ahu resides at the top of Mount Kilauea. Her an her sister, Pele, has had clashes in the past over who has true ownership over Mount Kilauea. A story tells that when Pele lost in a sledding competition, in a fit of anger, she unleashed lava onto the land, that Poli'ahu and her sisters put out.
