Biography
Storm was what a lot of wolves would call a "lost one," meaning he didn't feel at home in his first pack, so he ventured out to find another. He would go pack to pack, looking for wolves that made him feel alive. Made him feel something that was the hollowness that he felt when he looked at some wolves, knowing he couldn't connect with them. When he met Chaparral, something changed, and it was like he could see colors for the first time. The story of how they met is one-of-a-kind, and isn't like anything else;
Storm was walking around a lake, looking at the fish he had planned on catching. That's when a speckled wolf jumped into the water before him, scaring the fish off. It made Storm blink, and take a step back, questioning his life choices at that moment.
"What-" Storm mumbled to himself, tilting his head at the wolf, "Who are you? Why are you here?"
"This is my pack land-" Chaparral's head popped out of the water, looking at him. "Who are you? Why are you here?"
"O-oh-'' Storm stuttered, "Im Storm- and I'm kinda lost?" He laughed at himself for a little bit.
"Well, what are you looking for?" The lead wolf asked him, genuinely curious, "Why travel so far from home?"
"I don't think I've found my home yet," Storm looked at him, and for a moment he felt something different than he had before. Like he was alive for the first time since he's been alive. Like the world wasn't just black and white, like he would do more than what was needed for Chaparral's pack. Storm knew this was his home, and these were his wolves. He would become part of their pack.
"I hope you find it then," Chaparral smiled kindly at him.
"I think I just did," Storm looked at him, "Mind if I come with you to your home?"
"I think you'll be welcomed with warm open arms," Chaparral chuckled lightly.
Another memory flashed through Storm's eyes, the moment he realized that he was accepted into the pack. He felt like an outsider for days, it was about to turn into weeks. He hoped it would happen quicker, but it just didn't. That was okay, Storm was okay with the fact it would take a little bit longer for people to accept him. The day it happened, it was like any other, but something shifted in the pack.
"Hey Storm!" Chaparral ran after the wolf, smiling.
"Chaparral," Storm turned his head towards the lead wolf, smiling back at him. "How are you? What's going on?"
"Come with me, we're going hunting with the others," The wolf responded, "Get your hunting eyes on cuz it's gonna be a fun one!" He laughed.
"If you say so boss-" Storm chuckled, following him into the woods. He knew this part like the back of his paws now with how many times has walked out here during the night to catch a small rabbit for a hungry pup, or even to clear his head. His favorite thing to do is to turn over rocks and sticks, finding new things that he can show the pups and adolescents. New bugs or plants that have strange smells. Things that he can show the pups to make them smile and laugh all the time. Things that they can play with and not have to worry about certain poisons, or harmful insects.
They came upon a clearing in the woods, flowers filling every spot within it. He recognized the wolves in there, and smiled the biggest smile he had in his life. Every wolf from his pack was there, waiting for him.
"Happy birthday!" They all shouted at the same time, laughing as the pups ran out to greet Storm, and tripped over one another. All you could hear were the tiny ows slowly repeating after one another.
"Thank you, thank you-" Storm looked at everyone. "Thank you so so so so much…"
Storm remembered almost everything that happened since he joined this pack. The birthdays, the parties, everything. He would give up anything for this pack, and the pack would give up anything for him. Storm was one of them, and always would be.
Days passed like any other, but instead of being alone and black-and-white, Storm now had color. He had amazing friends, and considered them family. He always made sure that everyone would feel okay, and included, especially since he came from a place where he did not feel at home at any time. Everyone who looked at Storm knew that he would make them feel at home, and would make them feel happier than when they first found the wolf. Anyone who knew Storm knew that he was the sweetest, kindest wolf ever, and nobody could ever change their minds.
