Pine was born on the first official light of autumn, given that name because of her fur and by her father and mothers wishes.

Pine mourns the loss of her sister Drift, along side her family.

Following the death of her sister, Pine begins to have vivid dreams. It's always set in a place unknown to her, cold and empty of the trees and high peaks shes use to. Small, blue whispy balls of light whisper 'home' but she can't tell what it means. She confines in her mother eventually.

Pine continues to recieve said dreams–finding it harder and harder to get sleep even as spring appears and the weather begins to thaw. She tells her mother that with every dream she is always some place cold and barren, where the winds make you shiver and there aren't any slopes or trees to keep you from freezing. The wisps call her from out of the safety of her cave, away from her sleeping family and out into the open. Despite the unforgiving conditions–the Will-o-the-Wisps tell her it's home.

Pine had made friends with Selenite's kids, the new pup just a few moons older–Lynx and more specifically–Hound.

Pine's dreams seem to come to life, when on a scouting mission with Dragonfly, she notices the Will-o-the-Wisps. She feels no fear with them and allows them to bring her to the borders of the forest. Upon a cliff she finds herself in view of the place of her dreams, where winds are harsh and animals from the sea roam freely. Its almost as if the Will-o-the-Wisps celebrate the finding of the Tundra.

Pine congratulates Hound when he passes the test and successfully receives his new role. Their friendship grows.
