Damon was one of the first males to join the pack, however being later than others he was officially made a hunter for the new squad, RRD. His life before the pack doesn't have fond memories for him and he usually does not bring up anything remotely close to his life before. Even when asked about a life before the pack he usually would dodge the questions and continue on his merry way. He originally felt like an outsider who was on a consistent routine to get up everyday to hunt for his pack, eat, and go back to sleep and do it the next day. Even though this routine was bland to him he felt ecstatic and contempt.
Eventually Damon had started to notice another older wolf around his age, Kore, who wasn't talkative and didn't usually hang around other wolves. Even though she was quiet and kept to herself he noticed her walk around aimlessly at the clearing. Damon walked up to her and started to talk about anything and everything to gather her interest and maybe hook her into talking more. Damon soon learned that Kore was an extravagant storyteller and he started to try and convince her to tell her stories to more wolves than just old him. Even though she turned him down he did not back down.
Damon eventually made a small event for a big catch their hunting party had hunted down and started to try and get Kore to talk more and tell some stories. Damon had felt pride when the quiet wolf had started rambling about stories about her life from before the pack. Even though he had achieved his goal Damon felt a sort of empty feeling in his chest and started to wander. During the time Kore had begun her storytelling to others Damon had started to disappear in random times of the night. Which was caught on by Kore and she started to follow after him. Kore realized that Damon had started to stare at the stars by himself at periods in the night when he couldn't sleep. Kore started joining along with Damon to stare at the stars in silence and talk occasionally. She had assumed he was escaping something since he never talked about his old life however when she brought up Damon always brushed it off and said another time.
Damon realized his old life didn't matter not as long as he was with Kore.
