Darude had been a loner all his life and never knew of pack life. He came across Babag while exploring and the two talked and became instant friends. Babbag told Darude that he was trespassing on his territory but he wasn't mad about it. He let him know that his pack needed another chaser in their hunting party and invited Darude in. Darude accepted the offer but was told that the hunting party's leader may not approve. The two went to the pack's cave and waited for the hunters to return. When they did, Babbag ran up to a brown wolf, Bark, and introduced Darude to him. Darude and undoubtedly Bark could smell Babbag's anxiousness. Darude was confident though and Bark circled him, examining him, and asking questions. Bark was skeptical but told Darude to join the next hunt, if it was successful, he'd let him join. There was tension throughout that hunt, but when Bark took down their prey, he smiled at Darude and welcomed him in. The two don't get along as well with each other as they do with the other members of the hunting party but still well.
