Pigeon

As a young puppy Pigeon and her mother, Waxwing, were taken in by a human wildlife rehabilitation center. For the first several months of her life, she and her mother were housed by the humans, fed and cared for. Waxwing told Pigeon stories about what their life in the wild would look like when they returned, and the pack that Pigeon would one day join. Pigeon spent every day playing with her mother or lost in her imagination. The orbweaver spider in the corner of their enclosure wove her webs while she would watch it and daydream. She dreamed of a pack she would find in the forest where her mother was born, wrote stories in her mind, and planned for her future.

Eventually, the two were released. Coming home to the forest was everything she imagined and more. For several months she and her mother traveled together, entertained the idea of joining clans, but ultimately deciding they were not the right fit. Eventually, Waxwing expressed an interest in going to the desert. Understanding that their dreams led them in different directions, they wished each other luck and promised to reunite one day.

It was then that Pigeon found her corner of the deciduous forest and realized her true desire to lead her own pack. Within just a few days she met Agate, an idealistic young wolf with dreams of becoming an herbalist. The two became close very quickly, and Agate vowed to help Pigeon realize her dream of creating her own pack. After settling down with the help of Tala, Pigeon and Agate got to work setting up their home cave and preparing it for future friends.

Several months later, they met Chanterelle, a stoic wolf who had spent much of his life traveling. Charmed by Pigeon and Agate, he decided to settle down with them, offering his service as a scout.

Not long after that, the pack blossomed. Pigeon had her first litter of puppies, Mica and Copper, who she raises with the help of her partner, Agate, and their pupsitter, Coati. She spends her days playing in the forest, exploring new territories, teaching her puppies, and bringing new friends into the Orbweaver Pack. One day, she hopes to visit the desert, bringing her family with her, so she can reunite with her mother.
