Radiance: Princess of the Galactic Ones

Radiance is the daughter of Queen Daybreak, and despite her age, is a very strong pup. No pups in the back have ever been blessed with strength such as hers, and she is renowned as something special alongside her sister, Golden Sun. Radiance is a bright yellow puppy with fading white splotches around her body. She has three, two-toned eyes just like her mother, and is cherished in the pack as a blessing from The Stars, who went missing generations ago.

Like her mother, Radiance is more quiet and softspoken. Still, she is a kind and dedicated wolf who doesn't mind socializing with others or working hard to achieve her goals to uphold her family heritage. Though, these are all to be expected of her since she is a princess of the pack.



In her puppy days, Radiance often hung out with the pups of her mother's grandnephew. Those pups being the children of Alpha Cherry Root. Nooman, Asuka and Azalae were also pups in her age range that she hung out with. Though, these joyous times would not last forever between her and her friends.

The Exiled Princess

The past two months have brought tough times in the pack. Food was becoming a little scarce, with hunters having to spread out far and wide to catch what they could. The death of Shiruku in the summer and the passing of Skyberry almost two months after left the pack scrambling to find better ways to protect their pups. Although Skyberry's death was accidental due to her brother, Radiance's sister expressed otherwise to her and Cherry Blossoms.

In the late fall, with winter soon closing in, the pack was at its busiest to store food and herbs for the winter. Her cousin, Akira had snuck out with Radiance's sister, Golden Sun. She had kept her mouth quiet about them leaving, only telling Nooman where they were headed.

She was oblivious to the events that happened in the Deciduous forest between the four that day, but when Akira returned three hours later, only Nooman had come back as well. But he wasn't with Akira. He was furious with him.



Radiance was in one of the pack's pup burrows, looking after the young ones when she heard thunderous pawsteps approaching the cedar tree cluster. Poking her head out of the burrow, she was met with an interesting sight. Nooman, the great grand uncle of Akira, was shouting and snarling at him. She watched intently alongside one of the pack's pupsitters. That pupsitter being Nooman's mother, Cloudy Night.

"YOU KILLED MY MATE! HOW COULD YOU?!" The dark grey adolescent tore into one of his paw pads, turning his blood into a long needle. Without giving Akira the chance to react, he sliced his great grand nephew's left eye, sending Akira reeling back in pain. All the shouting shouting and the smell of blood began to draw in a small crowd in the tree cluster. Radiance could only watch in shock and confusion as to why Nooman so mad at his distant nephew- his own friend.

It only took a few seconds for Akira to lauch a fierce attack of his own. He moved so fast that Nooman, despite being physically stronger than Akira, was sent falling on his back. The pale blue male had a crushing bite on his throat, drawing blood. It seemed like Akira was biting with the intention to kill Nooman right then and there. Before Radiance and Nooman's mother could step in, they saw the corners of Akira's mouth being cut by Nooman's blood. The pale blue adolescent was quick to jump back, licking his fresh cuts as he glared at Nooman. His great grand uncle quickly got back on his paws, snarling viciously at Akira. Before the two could continue their fight, Cloudy Night got in front of Nooman, staring down Akira. By that time, Alpha Cherry Root and Queen Daybreak had finally arrived on scene after hearing the commotion from deeper within the cluster. Radiance just watched with growing concern for the two. It almost seemed like they were going to kill each other if Nooman's mother didn't step between them.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Cherry Root looked between the two males with both anger and worry. The pack leaders were just as confused as Radiance was on this situation. "AKIRA KILLED HER! HE KILLED GOLDEN SUN!" Nooman's voice was frantic, like he was on the verge of losing himself. Those words made Radiance completely shocked. Had Akira snuck out with her sister just to kill her? But why? Radiance just couldn't see any motives the future alpha had to kill his cousin- one of the pack's princesses. It's not like they would ever rule the pack themselves. As for Nooman, his anger was justified. He had been fated to Golden Sun just two weeks prior. But if Golden Sun was truly dead, then...

"What proof do you have that my son is a killer?" Cherry Root gave Nooman the harshest of glares, standing tall before the young male. "Exactly! You have no proof that I killed my own cousin! Why would I even do such a thing," Akira retorted, letting out a slight growl towards his distant uncle. That only seemed to enrage Nooman futher. "LIAR! YOU KILLED-" "SILENCE!" Cloudy Night snapped at her son, cutting him off before he could continue. He pinned his ears back, remaining silent. His gaze didn't move from Akira, however.

"You see, mother, it was an accident," Akira would turn to Cherry Root, giving her a look of guilt. "We were looking for a corrupted cougar that was on its way to our territory from the Deciduous." As the young male explained his story, the pack leaders as well as Cloudy Night listened intently. "We were by a cliff, and that's when I noticed a boulder coming to crush us. I moved away in time, but..." Akira let out a slight whimper, looking away with a saddened expression. "She didn't move fast enough," he would raise his head once more, looking up at the leaders. Queen Daybreak was in tears, while Cherry Root had a look of devastation on her face. Nooman's snark expression remained unchanged, however.

"Please, show us where it happened," Alpha Cherry Root said in a quiet voice, and Akira nodded at her words. The pack leaders took Cloudy night and a pair of other adults with them to investigate the scene as they moved Northeast, leaving Nooman behind.

Radiance put a paw over her mouth, holding back tears. Golden Sun is... My sister is dead... Tears began streaming down her cheeks. Her sister was dead. Dead in an accident. Just like Skyberry. Just like Shiruku. Fate seemed to be against her and her family.

The sound of worried adols made her focus her attention back outside the den. Asuka and her brother, Haruki, approached Nooman with great concern about his fresh wound. It was bleeding quite a bit, but the dark pelted adol remained standing almost the entire time.

"Nooman, we heard what happened," Asuka said with a slight whimper. "Well- we don't know what happened," Haruki added, looking over Nooman's wounds. The dark pelted male mumbled something that neither of the three heard at first. "Um- what was that, Nooman?" Asuka looked up at him with a frown. "He killed Shiruku, and Skyberry, and now... He killed Golden Sun too. I don't know what happened Cherry Blossoms, though," Nooman's voice was low as he let out a sigh. All this information was overwhelming in the worst kind for the princess. Even Asuka and Haruki were pretty shocked to hear this. Akira had killed his own two sisters? That is something Radiance didn't fully believe. They had to be accidents, right? Akira even admitted to it after he poisoned Skyberry by accident.

That is when the princess saw something. Something she's never seen before. Nooman shed the first tears that the three have ever seen him shed. Nooman wasn't one to cry or whine whenever he got hurt or when things didn't go his way. He never did. Seeing Nooman cry only broke Radiance's heart further. At that point, she crawled to the corner of the burrow, curling into a ball as she let her emotions melt her away. She had never felt such grief in her life before like this one. Although Shiruku and Skyberry's deaths left a sting in her chest, it felt like Radiance's heart was torn in two that day.
