During his stay, Woods volunteered as a scout, helping the entire pack move from the scorched desert to the tundra. Together with another wolf traveler, Kalua, both scouts became navigators for the entire pack, leading the group through distant lands. After reaching the Tundra, Woods decides to continue exploring the frozen lands of the Glacier. Due to the harsh and dangerous conditions, Woods received several scars, but not too severe for him to stop his expeditions.

An elderly traveler stopped briefly at the Beholder's Tower. Everyone was too busy preparing for the Halloween ritual to bother him with questions about his travels. Having presented the guest with modest souvenirs, the parasite fanatics sent him on his way.

Woods found himself in the middle of a deciduous forest at night. A soft glowing mist rolled through the bases of the trees, putting him on edge. He'd heard rumors of wolves disappearing in the night due to strange lights and wondered if these were the lights they meant. He heard the screech of an eagle nearby and spun around suddenly, alarmed. The eagle's feathers were bright blue and seemed to crackle with energy. Woods was about to bark at it when it flew off suddenly, the bark of another wolf scaring it off.
A male wolf appeared, he had a lean build and his coat was brown except for almost specter like white markings on his back and face. He glowed softly like the mist, especially where the whitish marking was.
"You're new to these woods, aren't you? Don't worry, the volukros eagle you saw won't come back, I think I spooked it good. My name is Kean by the way," the male introduced. "If you're a traveler, come with me. I'm a chaser for the Starshade Pack and our alpha loves taking in traveling wolves."
Woods happily accepted Kean's offer and followed him with more confidence deeper into the woods. Kean explained how the Starshade Woods were permeated with lunar energy and that sometimes lunar creatures crossed over from their world into the mortal plane following this trail of energy. Kean's pelt had a few markings that were star-touched, and those marks resonated with the lunar energy, causing his pelt to glow. All wolves in the Starshade Pack had a slight glow from being exposed to it for so long whether they'd been star-touched or not.
Woods found himself before the Starshade den, wolves of all kinds up and about wandering through very densely growing trees. The leaves were so thick that the forest floor was shaded from even starlight. It was anything but dark, though, as there was a soft, almost ethereal glow from the mist and the wolves. Dens had been dug out from under overlapping roots where wolves went in and out as they took care of things that needed to get done.
Woods stayed and helped as a pupsitter, learning chasing tips from Kean at night when the pups were asleep. As a parting gift, Kean gave Woods some bones from the prey they'd shared together so Woods could remember his time with the Starshade Pack once he moved on.

Woods found himself at the border of another territory. He was nearly run over by a pair of twins leaving the territory on their first adventures explaining that they could find the pack in that direction! Woods looked in the direction they pointed and trotted along the path. He made it deeper within the packs territory and gave a soft huff signaling his precense. A few of the pack mates turned in his direction.

Norðurljós the Alpha approached Woods. "You a traveler?" Woods gave a curt nod. "Welcome to the Adolphous pack! Get yourself settled, theres food in the cave just over there. Stay as long as you need." Woods thanked him and took a look around the pack.

After a few days he decided it was time to continue his journey. Bidding farewell to the pack he was given a muskrat carcass for his journey. Nodding a thanks he went on his way.
