Perchstar founded the clan. She came from a place unknown. She remembers her parents as Whispering and Rain. They died soon after her birth. Her best friend, Sap, came with her and became the herbalist and Perchstar's mate. She has lost many of her kits. But, she still hasn't broke down and handed over leadership to her friend, Lunareyes. She is going through serious depression after having to give up her two remaining biological pups. She spends most of her time in the woods crying or spending time with her adopted pups. She really misses her pups and now is extremely disconnected and only returning to camp to socialize once every half month. In her sleep, a coyote gouged out Perchstar's eyes, leaving her blind. Her mate still is supportive of her.
