Acorn is Thunder's grandson: his mother, Willow, was one of the two pups sent to the Amber Sky Pack in an alliance trade.
Due to his heritage, Acorn heard many stories of his mother's birth pack. As his siblings grew older, and the Amber Sky Pack grew more crowded, he and his cousin Rose eventually decided to seek out the mountains of the Sheer Cliffs, in hopes of learning more about where they came from, and hopefully finding a home among the mountains.
However, at their first arrival, the Pack was distrusting and suspicious. Apparently, Thunder was already known for her not-so-friendly personality, her only surviving pup, Acorn and Rose's great-uncle, had tried to overthrow the Pack. The rest of the Pack was no especially suspicious of Thunder, her mate, and any of her descendants.
Only four wolves seemed to trust them: Thunder, the wolf they had come here for, who was both estactic to see them and devastated her name had caused them this pain. Stag, her mate, who was kind and treated them as his own grand-pups. Maple, who's brothers had been tricked by their great-uncle, and was therefor and outcast as well, and Raven's Flight, a wolf who was essentially punished for being born at the wrong time. Raven and Acorn were both adventurous, although Raven was more quiet where Acorn was more out-spoken and independent.
Acorn soon took to training as a Scout, something he found Raven was training as as well. The two were together often. When Acorn wasn't chatting with Rose and Maple, he was with Raven, listening to the darker male's stories, being shown short-cuts, so safe paths to navigate the treacherous cliffsides, or with Thunder, learning everything he could from his grandmother: her story, how to defend himself, what happened with Slate...
When Acorn and Raven both passed their Trials, they became mates.
Acorn was happy, and it seemed the Pack was slowly coming to accept him.
Seasons passed.
Raven's Flight and acorn were now hard-working, loyal "Scouts", and Rose were soft and motherly "Pup-sitters" instead of suspicious outcasts. The only wolf who seemed unable to shake their title was Thunder, and even that seemed to have faded with time.
Tension was beginning to settle into the Pack as the Alphas aged, their new Heir tentatively selected from their numerous pups. Respected pack-members had died, and successors had yet to be named. And now, the Pack had been attacked by another, a Pack of strangers. Many had died in the fight, including Thunder, while protecting Stag.
Acorn finally decided he wanted to leave the Pack. Seeing the others mourn for her grandmother, after treating her so cruelly in life... It didn't seem right. Thankfully, Raven agreed.
Raven's Flight and Acorn eventually decided to leave the Pack, hoping to escape the unrest Sheer Cliffs was facing, and possibly more adventures together.
