This wolf is immortal! It will never age or die. It cannot be bred or used in roles, or retired into. This wolf has not rolled over today and will not be able to be traded or gifted until its next rollover.
Eclipse looked down upon his pup in shock. He had never seen such a miserable creature. It looked to be in terrible pain, pulling itself up on its two front paws and struggling desperately to grow. The mother wolf pleading with him not to end her pups life. Gene observed the pup with a gentle, sad gaze. He informed the pack that this pup was not for this world.
After a few nights had passed of her suffering, Eclipse spoke with the herbalist in attempt to help with pup, bound at its legs by the curse of misfortune. The herbalist, his sister Spyder, told of an ancient species of Jellyfish that could ease the pups pain. However there were many misconceptions about such a treatment. Eclipse, not wanting to hear more of the pups whines, visited the far Grove where the Jellyfish swim in a pool of warmth. With a generous offering, he took one and fed it to his pup.
At first, things were much better. The pup no longer whined and was able to play as the others. Slowly things began to change, her coat began to thin and fall out, something not uncommon for molting pups. This time was different though as the color grew in a dark Umbra tone. Feathered protrusions began appearing from her coat and wing like features distorted her body. Soft Shadows had never seen something like this and many wolves gathered with concerns for the puppy. She became aggressive, lashing out and leaving the den at night. Almost never sleeping and not having to eat.
The elders shunned the pup, stating she was cursed and should be sent away. Her mother feared for the young pup and begged Eclipse to remedy the situation. As such, Eclipse brought the pup to the Alpha, Solstice and asked what he should do. I told him,
"Bring the pup to the ridges den and allow her to live out her days. She is not compelled to eat, drink, or sleep. The pup, donned a Ryn by her mother, yearns for silence and the best you can give her is the rest you stole."
