Lore ( Optional):
As you stroll around Black-Tail Ridge, your breath catches in your throat as you see a hulking figure with red eyes. Instantly, the fur on your back bristles and you snarl in warning. The beast looks at you through narrowed crimson eyes, and huffs. From beside it, a young black wolf with a white-streaked muzzle awakes. She yawns, and the huge creature rumbles fondly.
You stare at the she-wolf, utterly confused. Her cool grey eyes catch yours, and she gives you an eerie smile. "Greetings, lost soul." she says, her gaze unblinking. "What do you require of us?"
You feel uneasy, but ask the burning question. "Who, or what is that?"
The she-wolf blinks, "Bás is my companion," she would say. "Our story is one of loyalty and determination. Bás and I have been companions for many seasons, and our bond is unbreakable."
Bás would growl in agreement, his eyes fixed on the she-wolf with unwavering devotion.
You tilt your head. "Yes, but what is he? And who are you?"
The grey-eyed female smiles. "I am Branagáin. As for Bás, he is a Gwyllgi, or Hound of Death. I found Bás when he was just a pup, alone and frightened. My heart pitied his soul, and I took him in. From that day forward, we have been inseparable."
You've had quite enough of the company of these odd two. With a nod, you bid them farewell. "Thank you for sharing your story with me." you hastily mumble, eager to get away from the large red-eyed hound staring you down.
