A spur-of-the-moment, trade center adoption, Wihit and Banit caught Dehahuit’s attention for two reasons: neglect and their bond. Initially, he only saw Wihit and had already asked for him. But upon his being scruffed, Banit came scampering out of the crowded little pen, crying for his brother. Both were incredibly underweight, dehydrated, and Wihit’s left hind leg had an open wound just waiting for a chance to get infected. Ten silver cones later and Dehahuit brought them home. Hakuunu took to them and ensured they were fed while B’awsa prepared poultices for Wihit’s injury. The two end up latching onto him soon after; the herbalist accepted it and now considers them his sons and Nayáwsa their older sister.
They’re now fully integrated into the pack and growing like weeds. Banit is like the embodiment of mint. Refreshing and sharp, he is into everything. He wants to know everything that he can. Why things are done a certain way and how they’re done and for whom - this little pup could talk your ear off if you let him. His favorite thing to do is sit with Nayáwsa and listen to her stories about their recent hunts. She’ll draw him maps of the places they’ve been in the sand and he’ll watch with a glimmer in his eye. He remembers the little details and asks about how they played into their following hunts. He has managed to build up a knowledge of their common grounds and has even predicted events through the information given to him prior. He’s a clever pup and the pack is very excited to see what he can do.
