Snake was always a confident pup growing up, and when they had grown her and Smudge left their pack together to set out and make their own. Leading the way, the two of them crossed a great distance before they met another wolf to group up with. That was Sequoia, who Snake quickly took a liking to. They had to slow down at a mountain pass as Snake grew heavy with pups, and after giving birth to a litter of two pups, they decided to settle there. She named the girls Coyote and Stoat, and the mountains proved a be a good spot to raise them. Two other wolves, Newt and Marigold, joined along around the same time that Snake's litter was born. Newt watched the litter and Marigold hunted with Smudge. They left together a while later, but more wolves came in their stead. It seemed the mountain pass was a through-way for transients, and several decided to settle with the trio- Bone, Honey, Stone. They now had a hunter and scouts, and things were looking good. As more wolves joined, however, the dynamics changed- Bone became the dominant male over Sequoia, Holly and Nettle joined the hunting team, and Honey settled into the hunting party's lead over Smudge. Bear and Sorrel joined the pack as an herbalist and a pupsitter. Bone spends a lot of time putting his charm on the ladies in the pack, but snake finds herself uninterested.
