Ghoulish Ghost: The Spirit of the Mountains
For a friendly wolf, this young lady has a rather ghostly appearance. A pale nose and claws, sunken in eyes, and silvery speckled fur that's rough and blotched with dirt seem to trick others from afar that she's some sort of spirit. Her eyes are just glowing blue pupils, which seem to have varying effects depending on who stares into them. Some might grow paranoid or nauseous, while some might not feel anything unusual. Despite her eerie appearance, this young lady is surprisingly polite and welcoming.
This youngster was never actually named as a pup. She couldn't stay with her old pack for reasons unknown, so she was sent to a new pack that wasn't too easy to reach. It took well over a week of traveling on foot to descend down the mountains she originated in. Most of her traveling was done from dusk 'til dawn, which added to the rumors of her being a ghost. In truth, the young fae had sensitive eyes and a sensitive nose. The light of the sun could give her a sunburn, and the daylight hurt her eyes. The rare times she did travel at day was during cloudy or rainy weather.
Because of her nightly appearances in the mountains of Wolvden, followed by her mysterious background, many animals in the area have called her 'The White Lady' and 'Cliffside Ghost'. This poor, still breathing soul didn't even know about the rumors until one wolf was brave enough to approach her halfway through her journey down the mountains. From there, the young lady decided to play the part as the White Lady by actively tricking unsuspecting wolves and other animals. They were harmless pranks that only fuelled the stories about her being a ghost.
After her two week journey traveling down the mountains to the grasslands, the young lady began making her way to the northern parts of the biome. She was told by her alpha that a pack lived far North in the grasslands, waiting for her to arrive as part of a gift. She didn't actually know what any of the pack members smelled like. She only knew of their name. Hell- even asking other wolves about the pack was very difficult. Her most common responses were "You don't wanna go there", or "Only fools will seek out that foresaken pack". The rumors she heard about them made her very nervous as well as a bit angry. Why was she being sent there in the first place if the pack was that bad? There was no turning back now. The young wolf had already made it this far.
The ghostly fae finally found a wolf who was willing to take her to the pack after three days of asking around to no avail. The wolf could only take her to the very edge of the territory, and it seemed as though the pack took up a good chunk of the Northern grasslands. It seemed like the actual pack was at least 60 miles further North, which meant a lot more walking for the young lady. After a good two hours of walking, the fae was found and dragged away by a ragged looking brute who didn't seem friendly in the slightest. He wasn't that gentle either when he dragged her by the scruff back to the pack's camp.
Now in the pack's camp, the young lady was greeted with curious faces at the edge of a cedar tree forest. From the growing crowd of wolves emerged a rather intimidating looking one with a fiery pelt. He introduced himself as King Akuma, welcoming her to the Galactic Ones. She was suspicious of him. He put on the facade of being friendly, but she didn't trust him at all. When the ghostly fae was asked of her name, she said she had none, but was called a ghost back in the mountains.
And so, the king named her 'Yōkai' on the spot, translating to spirit in a language his ancestors spoke. She was nicknamed 'Ghoul' by the rest of the pack, but she was just happy to finally have a name. Despite the initial discomfort she got from the king, Ghoul grew to respect him, which helped her fit in okay-ish in the pack.
