Dune

Dune came to us in a strange manner. Ersa was hunting alone, just for practice when she took down a small deer. she sit panting from the difficult opportunity hunt and wondering how shed haul this thing back to the den when she scented a new male nearing her. immediately she'd popped up ready to defend her catch as this massive wolf emerged from the brush, lowering himself to appear smaller. he folded his ears down and tucked his tail, not in fear of her, but that he would scare her. the gentle giant was hesitant to speak, as if he wasn't used to it, but explained in a soft rough voice, that the deer looked to heavy for the smaller she-wolf to carry on her own, and offered to help her with it.

the large, hungry looking wolf bargained only for a mouthful or two of her catch in return. She gave him much more, and a place to stay, a large pack of loving wolves where he would where he would be safe, and free to help all he'd like.
