Biography
Redwood had never been sure what to think when he was appointed Beta of the Risktaker's pack.
He was the grandson of the leader, Horizon. But his mother, Dandelion, always told him that it wasn't familial biases that made Horizon pick him as the next leader of the pack.
"You've proven yourself time and time again. You've already chosen a wonderful mate, and excelled wonderfully in scouting the land." She spoke in her aging voice, her muzzle almost completely white. She licked his ear with a fond smile, "I'm sure you'll do fine. And if you need me, just come talk to me. Alright, love?"
"Yeah.." He nodded, feeling like a pup beneath his mother's fond gaze.
With both the support of his wonderful mate, who was as level-headed as him, and his promiscuous brother, Redwood stepped into the leader role after the tragic-yet-expected death of their previous leader, Horizon.
"Hope you're proud, Grandfather." He murmured as he stepped into the leader's den for the first time with Eglantine by his side.
