Coigreach;
During the evening on one of his many rounds, Howitzer spotted the seasoned herbalist, Eisa, on his return from forage. The wolf stepped forward and prepared himself for a status report as Eisa approached. The young wolf frowned as inquisitive ears perked, face twisting with a look of confusion while he nudged a strange herb forward that he had come across.
"This isn't native to this land."
He rumbled,
"Something strange is going on."
Howitzer tipped his head back, darkened eyes brushing over the herbalists muddied pelt before they moved down to the herb.
"Strange?"
"Yes, strange- it shouldn't be growing here. I don't understand it."
His head tilted. He was perplexed.
"When I was just a pup, my father once mentioned these same strange habits.. but it's almost as if he'd forgotten, the second he told me. I thought nothing of it, and forgot it after that."
Howitzer squared his shoulders and sat down, appraising the younger wolf with a grunt.
"Does Vii know?"
"I haven't seen him."
Eisa replied,
"But, Howitzer- the world is tipping out of balance. Outside, This Place. Here we are protected- but out there.. something foul infects the soil and the woods and-"
"Find him."
Howitzer cut him off, almost dismissively.
"What about-"
"I'm handling it. I think it's time I pay Quany and the Chaorainn Pack a visit."
