Destined to be. That's what his former "family" said to him before arranging his engagement to the chosen one. The one that could, supposedly, make their lives better.
"Make everyone's lives better, except for mine," Desna grumbled, scowling in the direction of his new mate's chambers. They'd only been officially married for a few days and he hardly saw her now. Once they were married, Desna was practically left alone by the older wolf. Left to his own devices, which lead to excruciating bouts of boredom. "What do I even do?" he asked aloud, unsure as to what someone in his position was supposed to do.
"It's not like she likes me, so I can't even interact with her,"
He wanted her to like him; least a part of him did. The other parts of him were conflicted and fighting over which emotion would take control. Happiness for being away from the pack that sold him off, anxiety for wanting so desperately to be loved by his new mate, or sadness for the fact he'd been in her presence for a week and she'd barely given him more than a glance of acknowledgement.
