When Gaia had first realized the freedom of the outside of her first pack, it was the first time she realized there was an outside. The wind was different, yet the smells were so familiar. There were snow and trees. Growing up in the desert, she had never seen one.

And she decided to leave. Start her own pack.

Her first litter came along relatively quickly. She had two pups, one of which was taken before weaning. So now her sole pup is Demeter, who is going to be raised to be the next leader.
