An outcast from his home pack for a reason that's not the most obvious.

Spud was a pup adopted from the enclave into the pack. The RidgeRunners are known for adopting pups from Lillemor, and other wolves about, and they're usually incorporated into the two roles based on their stats: hunters or a herbalist. To add to their pickiness on stats, the pack is very finicky concerning the family trees and genetics. They value low-gen female wolves for their greater difficulty to come by, their ability to produce pups, and to prevent inbreeding in general.

Now, Spud breaks this mold, being a generation 7 male wolf with only 239 stats to his name when he was adopted. The only reason he got into this pack, and kept, was for his unique looks and pity from others within the group. Though the pack trained him, it was only in hopes that he would become useful somehow. The training wasn't easy either, and though the other pups wouldn't openly bully him they surely made his life harder by getting priority over everything. Yet, Spud wouldn't say a word about this.

Spud often found himself wandering and exploring, spending more time away from his pack than within it. He would learn about different animals, different herbs, and just things that aren't wolf-related. As he grew older the pack's wolves would take notice, and they set him up as the first traveler from The RidgeRunners. Now, Spud yearns to learn about other's lives - though he is rather quiet and prefers to just observe everything going on around him.

SpoilerSpud is focused on organizing some of their stuff as you approach, and they pause to take something out of their stash in silence and pass it to you. A gift! Spud smiles softly before going back to the work you interrupted.
