Kovu is somewhat of an enigma in the tribe - as a yearling he dispersed from a pack whose territory is not too distant from the Seekers of the Luminara tribe. Unlike the other wolves though, Kovu has vivid and distinct memories of his former family, but he can only summon those memories in his dreams, for the enchanted forest's power to wash away the past is nearly unyielding. The other wolves find him to be unique with his mottled black pelt and striking blue eyes. He is adventurous and enjoys watching over young pups.
