Training:
Socialization:
During the lesson: Today's lesson looked like a day full of play and fun, but Storm carefully observed relations between all the pups which included their likes, dislikes, and personalities. Heather didn't seem to be problematic.
Tussling:
During the lesson: Lava conducted a practical lesson about controlling emotions. Heather's skills were greatly improving but she easily lost her temper during the play.
Ambushing:
During the lesson: Today, Sage put a toy near a guarding adult packmate. Heather was required to ambush the wolf using the den's familiar terrain with only a few suggestions from Sage - an important lesson to take advantage of the surrounding land and what it has to offer.
Pathfinding:
During the lesson: Heather was in charge of describing everything she saw today while out exploring with Shadow, down to the last detail. She struggled more than she expected, not realizing just how hard it was to rely upon her memory.
Killing Effectively:
During the lesson: For small prey, Sage explained claws are your best asset. She demonstrated to Heather that there are ways to pin prey down and kill with a small bite to the neck, rather than trying to bite the entire piece of prey and ruining it.
Working Together:
During the lesson: Sage had Heather and Cinder take turns leading each other down a path with their eyes closed. Teamwork comes from trust, and Heather and Cinder had to trust each other to work as a team!
Howling:
During the lesson: Heather patiently practised using her voice and the strong will was clear in the young pup. The result was still far from an adult wolf but she was definitely not a beginner anymore!
