Training:
Socialization:
During the lesson: Sparrow asked the class to prepare tiny gifts today for every packmate and practice graciousness even if the gift is rejected. Jay enjoyed getting to know her packmates better through the gift giving.
Effective Killing:
During the lesson: Sage explained to Jay that with bigger prey, you can wound them in vulnerable areas so that they are easier to take down. Jay mimicked where she bit the carcass near the belly and ankles.
Working Together:
During the lesson: The lesson today focused on relaying information accurately among pack members. Jay sat with several other pups as they whispered the same sentence around the circle and tried to keep it the same, but when it came back to Sage it was hilariously different than when it started.
Howling
During the lesson: Jay prepared for a magnificent howl, a sound that would make every animal recognize true power. Instead, she let out something between a whine and a squeak.
Prey Tracking:
During the lesson: No matter the weather, a good hunter must be ready for every obstacle. Jay learned how to work in harder conditions, and although it was a bit stressful, she felt proud at the end.
Recognising Danger:
During the lesson: Austin laid out different herbs for Jay to smell with her eyes closed, huffing at her when she attempted to peek. Your nose is your strongest sense when it comes to identifying herbs!
