Biography
Moscow Mule (carrying on his mother's name) is a caravan guard, originally hailing from the Firewater pack. Foul-tempered and quick to anger, Moscow is not exactly the easiest wolf to get along with. He had his jaw badly broken when attempting to hunt a wild horse, resulting leaving him with what looks like a permanent snarl.
Moscow was once a valued member of the Firewater pack. Renowned for his strength and bravery, and how he would never back down from a challenge. However, after his injury, Moscow Mule was exiled from his pack. Despite his pleas that he could still fight and hunt, his pack leaders wanted nothing to do with a wounded wolf, who they believed would be a drain on precious resources.
Like many wolves who were abandoned by their original packs, Moscow ended up being taken in by the Desert Stars. Although too proud to admit to being helped, Moscow continues to insist that they were the ones who needed him. Some wolves dislike how despite being exiled, he continues to sing the praises of his old pack, who he claims are "the strongest wolves he's ever known". He also has some difficulty adapting to some of the quirkier aspects of the Desert Stars' lifestyle, such as their refusal to hunt wild horses, which he sees as pure foolishness.
Although in some ways, has taken his pack's values to the opposite extreme - being fiercely protective over his packmates - particularly more shy and gentle wolves such as Amelia, Amelia, who sometimes struggle to stand up for themselves. While some wolves are still dubious of Moscow's reverence to his old pack, he does seem quite loyal to the Desert Stars, and would defend them with his life.
. . .
Growing up in the Firewater pack is not easy. As due to limited resources, the Firewater pack rarely had enough food or water to go 'round. Those thought to be unable to contribute fully to the pack (such as the weak, sick, or elderly) would often be abandoned, and left to fend for themselves. Pack members were taught that in this world, it was every animal for themselves - and wolves not strong enough to protect their belongings did not deserve to have them.
This often resulted in the Firewater pack being called "bandits" - a term which they resented strongly. They did not believe they were doing anything criminal - rather, they were only acting as all wild animals had done for centuries. They were only doing what they needed to do to survive, after all. Since when did wolves get so soft-hearted these days?
