She wasn't sure how long she had been walking along the mountain trail before she encountered the first wolf on her way. Maybe a day has passed? Or a few days? Month?

Everything seemed hazy, as if she were sleepwalking.

As if she was between wakefulness and sleep.

Maybe she was stuck between worlds?

The dark she-wolf introduced herself as Tala. She had a piercing look in her eyes that allowed her to focus.

"Hello, traveler! I see you're new here."

She looked around, scanning the sharp mountain peaks that were drowning in the thick morning fog.

"Yeah... that's what it looks like".

Can I ask where you are from?"

Where was she from?

"From afar..."

She had a hard time gathering her thoughts, but that one question triggered an explosion of images in her mind. She saw ancient forests. Lakes full of nymphs. Green meadows covered with wild flowers. Old, snow-covered mountains. Animals grazing in the valleys.

She saw her great-grandmother and her bright eyes covered with fog. She heard her whisper. Her message.

"A great adventure awaits you in another world, child."

She saw Nawia.

"From very far away", she added, with more certainty in her voice as she finally felt her mind clearer.

Like all of us, traveler", Tala didn't push, just a nod of her muzzle encouraged her to follow her. "Anyway, the past is the past. The focus should be on the future. Do you think so too?"

"Yes I agree with you."

"And do you know what path you will take?"

"No... but that's the whole point. I'll see what fate brings me."

She looked back one last time. The milk-thick fog was blown away by the mountain wind, and the morning sky turned pink as the sun began to slowly peak over the horizon. She felt it again. Something that had been dormant in her since she was a puppy and could never be repressed. Something that made her feel a shiver of excitement and anxiety at the same time, made her think about the great unknown and reminded her of the beauty of life.

Her family home, Nawia, bears no resemblance to the land she entered by getting lost in the thick fog on one of her adventures. However, it does not bother her at all that she has moved away from her native land, which is full of magic older than the land on which her old herd trod. Since she was a puppy, she felt a hunger for knowledge and adventure. She always wanted to know what was hidden over the horizon and she finally got the chance and decided to take full advantage of it. Charismatic and determined, she invites every stray wolf soul into her pack. Although she has a lot of strength and passion, her lack of experience and puppy-like naivety can cause her problems and she often has to prove to the older members of her pack that she is worthy of trust and leadership. She may be far from her homeland, but Nawia's intense magic still glows in her eyes and soul, untamed and wild as fire itself.
