Hymir has had a sad early life. Born to Jökulrós, his mother had chosen to abandon her first litter. She remains hostile to Hymir, which leaves him confused as to what he had done. His mother has a good reason to keep her distance, though only a select few wolves know why. However, Hymir was taken in by Mani and Kenny as an adoptive son. The two love him dearly and work hard to bring his confidence up and help him recover from the poor treatment he had been given.
