Whitepaw had joined the Moonpaw pack after getting separated from his original pack. He had been found by the herbalist Cherry while she was searching for herbs. He ended up being taken to Moonpaw and becoming friends with Sparkpaw. Sparkpaw had told him about the outside world and all the wonders. She also told him how she was a traveler. Once Sparkpaw had left only 2 days later he had become very lonely. He felt kinda like an outsider within all these wolves who all seemed close...
He ended up a day later asking the pack leader, Eve if he could become a traveler just like her daughter Sparkpaw. Eve seemed hesitant to except and maybe that was because of his sneaky nature. She wasn't trying to get on other packs bad sides but Whitepaw seemed so eager to explore the world so she gave in. He took some time to ready for his travel before the day finally came he was able to set out! . . .

Spoilerwhitepaw had tried to travel into other packs but every pack he came across regected him. He wanderedaround for days just to find one pack to take him in but none would. Some said he looked like a freak and some said they simply didnt want any wolf to join their pack for the short time. So by the time he ended up coming back he was fully grown and still had the name Whitepaw so he was given the name Whitespirit
