Lore (optional):When Anika found the Pack of Silhouettes, she was immediately brought to their leader, Casper. The older wolf had looked the traveler up and down, a hint of recognition flashing across her face. It was a tense experience, and the utter silence of a large pack set Anika on edge.
Finally, Casper's steady voice broke through the quiet.
"Anika, you bear a striking resemblance to our second leader, a wolf known as Sterling," Casper eventually explained, her grey eyes unreadable. "She had fought hard to secure safety for this pack, and we take your presence as a sign from her."
Anika had been alarmed. She had never heard of a living wolf bearing resemblance to a deceased pack leader, much less it happening to a traveler like her. She didn't know if it were a blessing or a curse, and felt as if the very ground beneath her feet had suddenly shifted.
The rest of her stay with the Pack of Silhouettes, in the cold glaciers of the north, was spent learning about the practices of the pack. Casper murmured quiet tales of Sterling and her daring, which inspired Anika to become a bolder traveler. Elders told her of their beliefs, that the moon had gifted them for their loyalty. Days later, when she bid the pack farewell, she walked away with a confident step.
