The Enclave was the first thing Aurora could remember. But she would never forget the day she was adopted. An older female couple padded up to her and touched their noses to her head. They chose her.
Aurora was adopted by the leader of the pack, Ebony, who had been reluctant to carry pups of her own. But, she needed an heir, and adoption was the perfect choice. Ebony was a doting mother, teaching her everything she knew and naming her for the beautiful natural phenomenon she loved watching so much.
