future plans
Ink, named appropriately for her mutation, was only one of three siblings born with mottled patches. However, at a young age, her mother and sisters were all sent off to live in different packs due to an illness that had become rampant in camp. Separating was how they had to survive to avoid the sickness.
Ink lived in grief for much of her puphood. She felt as if she had nobody left, not just to care for her but to converse with and experience life next to. The closest thing she had to a mother after that was the pack leader Shiver, but she was often busy quelling problems within her own pack. Out of misguided frustration towards her pack mates and loneliness that kept nipping at her tail, she left one night to go into the dark forests of the Riperian Woodland.
The spirits of the forest were energetic that day, and upon seeing the pup decided they wanted to play. Ink gladly accepted, and for the whole night they ran around the dim woodland, finding critters and chasing eachother around.
Soon the pup grew tired, and though the spirits were upset that she could no longer play they made her a small den and a promise to help her get back to the pack. However, once she woke, she found she had been marked with the spirit's glowing colors! Beaming with pride at her new appearance, she went back to her pack a bit happier. She still sneaks off to the woodland sometimes to greet her old friends.
