Hotah joined the Ursa Dynasty after challenging Van Gogh, under the watchful eye of Hypnos, for his place as stud. This contest was viewed as a grand turn of events within the tribe as the old breeding male was stronger than the piebald wolf and had a reputation for being more cruel than needed. However, with quick wits and incredible agility, Hotah managed to defeat his foe. This position of power proved to be a good asset as it brought him closer to the Alpha and thus, won the new stud a place as Beta within the pack.
