Adal

Adal, true to his name meaning "honest" in Kazakh, wasn't born into the Zher Ana pack. He was a lone pup, found abandoned near the pack's borders by a hunting patrol. The patrol consisted of seasoned hunters, known for their pragmatism over sentimentality. They initially argued about leaving the pup - another mouth to feed during harsh winters was a burden and their resources were stretched thin.

However, something about the small, reddish-furred Adal tugged at their hearts. Perhaps it was his bright, inquisitive eyes, or his whimpers that echoed the cries of a lost soul. Against their better judgment, they brought the pup back to the pack.

However, Balnur, the mate of Kambar-Ata, took Adal under her wing, adopting him as her own. She saw a spark in him, a potential for loyalty and honesty that resonated with his name.
