Lumi

It’s been a snowy winter so far and you’re careful not to fall as you wander across the crunchy forest. There is ice underfoot, though not enough to deter you completely. Suddenly and inexplicably, you stumble, and immediately blame it on a stray chunk of snow. 

You look behind you, having just saved yourself from a nasty fall. A heap of fur is burrowed among the snow, nestled comfortably and snoring away. It’s unbelievable that you nearly tripped over a wolf. You wake it up with a gentle prod, intending to apologise, but it simply huffs and growls. 

You murmur an apology in its ear and decide that you shouldn’t waste any more of your time.
