Mauro

Mauro is a typical wolf, of average height and build with a short coat. He always wears a well-made smoke quartz necklace, which was a gift from his father.

Hailing from the prairie, Mauro was born to a traveller who had been staying there for some time. Though she chose to move on when Mauro was still young, his father was a scout from a nearby pack, and he agreed to care for the litter. The pack was hostile to outsiders, and they made their territory in an isolated part of the prairie - They had high expectations on the pups to prove themselves, especially as they were the pups of an esteemed scout. Mauro struggled to stand out. His siblings performed much better than he did, and more easily earned the pack's attention. As he grew into adolescence he started to act out, becoming aggressive when critiqued and attempting to sabotage his siblings. Though he was severely punished for his efforts he was not dissuaded. It all came to a head when he was a yearling, getting caught in the act of stealing an heirloom from the pack leader. He was subsequently exiled from the pack.

Quickly coming to regret his actions, Mauro begged with the pack to allow him back in. They of course refused and chased him out. Mauro spent a few months travelling alone, taking the time to reflect on his life and pledging to himself to do better. He stopped off in a few packs along the way - if nothing else, his natal pack's isolation meant that word of his misbehaviour didn't spread. He enjoyed spending time in each pack, learning about their histories and culture, and for a moment considered picking up travelling like his mother. He soon met with Zente's group however, and instead chose to join them in building a new pack, hoping to have a positive influence on it.

Curious by nature, Mauro takes great interest in talking to others and learning about them, their history, their plans for the future. He tends to be more quiet himself, preferring to hear others talk. He's pledged to himself to be honest, and he's very transparent about his own shortcomings and his intentions to improve himself. He loves to dance and will take any opportunity to break out some moves - he finds it to be a useful tool in bonding with others. He's afraid of the dark and prefers to den with others.

Mauro has a monotone voice, and speaks in an emphatic manner.

Mauro identifies as cisgender (he/him) and heterosexual. He does not currently have a pairbond.
