It's not Ginger's fault she's a pretty she-wolf, the full moon just favored her. She uses her gifts to her benefit, blinking her pretty blue eyes, rolling over and showing her belly to particularly brave (stupid) humans for a little snack. She's not vain, just trying to survive by all means.
Needless to say, her newfound pack finds her hangdog behavior shamefull.
