Tornado

Tornado took a deep breath and walked up to Ruble and Birdie, who where eating elk together.

"Hello, I need to talk to you two about something" he said

The two siblings stopped chewing for a second and looked intently at him.

"I've been really, really grumbley. Especially towards you two, especially during our puphood. I..." he trailed off for a moment before gathering more courage

"I'm sorry, and I want to do better"

Ruble's eyes gleamed.

"Don't sweat it, OK? Remember when you won that race one time and I howled so hard that my mum had to interrupt her hunting to calm me down? You aren't the only one who was an insufferable pup!"

"And you had cute moments as a pup too, I know it!" Birdie interjected

"Oh! Speaking of insufferable pups, remember when I used to ask questions about everything?" she continued

"You used to keep me up at night! Especially when you asked me if shadows where actually ghost wolves who needed to go 'home' "

"To be fair, brother, are they? She asked mischievously

Both of them proceeded to banter and reminisce about puphood for a while, while Tornado was just happy to soak up the energy of the conversation.

Then he went to see Birch again.

"Come back for more-

Birch had a brief coughing fit.

"..lessons?" Birch finally finished

"Actually, I was wondering if I could sit with you for a bit"

"Sure thing, youngster. Get comfortable"

Birch told him stories of his greatest adventures scouting.

Eventually, Raincloud and Dune also came over to sit with them, they reminisced right along with him.

Who knew that his auntie used to be Birch's scout apprentice? Tornado certainly didn't.

Tornado sat there enjoying the atmosphere once again, knowing well that it might be the last time he was beside Birch.
