Full Name: Black God, Haashchʼééshzhiní
Black God (Haashchʼééshzhiní), sometimes referred to as Darkness to Be One by Tony Hillerman, is the god of fire and creator of the stars in Navajo mythology. Not all accounts credit him with the creation of the constellations, but all credit him with the creation of fire and light as found in the stars.

BIO
Across the bridge from the big blue woods; a spirit, forged in flames, emerged. Written in his fate is the age-old war between life and death - the ice-cold Lunar realm seeps with each night beyond its territory of the woods, into the other world, where the deity of fire and life resides. It is bringing illness to his lands - and he seeks to push back through every night, jumping and prancing around the borders to subdue the chilling inkling of death from reaching the living lands with the heat of the mid-day sun.

Legend speaks of his back being cursed by moonlight; both subduing and fleeing the death behind and ahead of him at every jump and breath. He is the red flame that cleanses; and the great spirit that takes without thought. He is the embodiment of sporadic wildfires.

[Witch Mother Moon-Strike has never, and will never see him. Spit-N'-Crackle is the spirit/deity of life and warmth, where she is the Priestess of coldness and death; to her, he is the unsettling feeling of daybreak bursting through the dense blue fog, telling the Lunar pack to retreat; the tales of the sun burning on inner-world wolves' noses; a plague of temporary life; bringer of mortal wolves. Her work to traverse the veil so frequently and meld life to the seam of death opposes him directly.
