Longspur

Longspur is a powerful, caring young wolf, trained as a finisher.

She's very well liked by the pack and gets along well with most wolves. She's very helpful and considerate, but knows when she needs to step away or leave someone alone, and is very good with helping wolves through difficulties.

She often helps settle debates and disputes between wolves before they can reach Leo, as she's seen how uncomfortable he is- the kind of discomfort that doesn't go away with time, because no matter how much he'd like to help, he simply doesn't know how to.

Despite her friendly, kind demeanor and appearance, Longspur is very strong, and is a very successful and skilled finisher. She was trained as a stalker for most of her apprenticeship before her mentors had requested Leo give her a try at finishing.

It wasn't that she was a bad stalker, but she simply didn't enjoy it and it was clear that she was built for a different role- the way she walked and ran clearly showed her powerful muscles and the way she watched the finishers was evidence that she dreamt of a different place in the pack.

She was very eager to learn when she switched to finisher training, and even with the short time she was able to train before she became an adult, she was very good at it and loved it.

Some of the adolescents would joke that she just liked killing prey or attacking, but she truly just loved the role itself. She liked how it functioned- waiting and holding back, following behind with the chasers while the prey was being tracked and running alongside while the chasers did their work, springing in to take down the prey- it was intricate and balanced and it was beautiful to her.

She enjoyed learning the skills to be the best she could be, and both of her mentors expressed their love of getting to train her- after all, it's much more fun to teach someone when they want to learn.

Longspur loves giving gifts to her packmates, always thinking about what would be best- maybe they needed a specific item, or a snack, or perhaps they lost something and she could help find it or replace it.
